LIC’s Linked Accidental Death Benefit Rider Calculator

Eligibility & Terms:

• For **Linked Policies Only**.
• Minimum Entry Age: 18 years (completed).
• Maximum Entry Age: 65 years (nearest birthday).
• Rider Cover Ceasing Age: 70 years (nearest birthday).
• Minimum Accident Benefit Sum Assured (ABSA): ₹10,000.
• ABSA Multiples: ₹5,000.
• Maximum ABSA: Cannot exceed Base Policy Basic Sum Assured. Aggregate limits apply (generally ₹1 Crore, or ₹2 Crore with Jeevan Shiromani, overall cap ₹2 Crore).
• Rider Term: Min(Policy Term of Base Plan, (70 - Age at Entry NB) years). Minimum rider term is 5 years.

Accident Benefit Charge:

• Standard Rate: ₹0.40 per ₹1,000 ABSA per policy year.
• Police Duty (if opted): ₹0.80 per ₹1,000 ABSA per policy year.
• Charge is levied monthly by cancelling proportionate units from policyholder's fund value.
• No further charges if base policy is not in-force.

General Conditions:

• Optional rider. Can be opted at policy commencement or anytime during policy term (subject to conditions).
• Can be cancelled during policy term, but cannot be re-opted.

Exclusions (Summary):

Benefits are not payable for accidental death due to: intentional self-injury, attempted suicide, insanity, immorality, influence of intoxicating liquor/drug/narcotic (unless prescribed), riots, civil commotion, rebellion, war, invasion, hunting, mountaineering, steeple chasing, racing, paragliding, parachuting, adventurous sports, criminal acts, employment in armed forces (exceptions apply), police duty (exceptions apply if specific cover opted), or if death occurs after 180 days from accident date.
